Yasmin Aburaya

 

Yasmine Aburaya is a gender equality advocate and human rights activist committed to combating violence against women and girls in the MENA region, particularly Egypt and VAW against migrant women in Europe. She holds a master’s degree in international cooperation and human rights from the University of Bologna. She is the Founder and Executive Director of Your Voice Against VAW Initiative, which focuses on awareness, support, and advocacy for survivors of violence.

Fluent in Arabic, English, and proficient in Italian and Spanish, Yasmine has worked with organizations like WAVE, UNDP RBAS, and the European Network of Migrant Women. She serves on the Youth Advisory Committee of the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs and is a Women of the South Speak Out fellow. Through her extensive advocacy work and leadership roles, Yasmine continues to empower communities through fostering policy change and championing gender equality across the region.
