Lina Megahed
Lina Megahed is a public law expert, combining academic expertise with legal counseling. She holds a PhD in Law from the University of Bordeaux and is a member of the Cairo Bar Association. Lina Megahed is recognized for her work in law, public policy, and social and humanitarian issues, with a particular focus on Europe and MENA region. Her doctoral thesis, The Popular Counter-Power, which won Anticor’s Ethics Prize in 2023, explores themes of citizen participation and public transparency. As a consultant and researcher, she collaborates with NGOs, public institutions, and international organizations to study and implement global legal reforms. Currently a lecturer and researcher at the University of Le Mans, Lina also serves as President of the Institute for the Study of Law and Justice in Arab Societies. She has edited several books on revolutionary movements and the legal struggle against corruption in the Arab world, and has published articles on key issues such as migration, asylum procedure reform, the European Temporary Protection Mechanism following the war in Ukraine, fundamental rights and democratic governance.
